Alice sits on a riverbank on a warm summer day, drowsily reading over her sister’s shoulder, when she catches sight of a White Rabbit in a waistcoat running by her. The White Rabbit pulls out a pocket watch, exclaims that he is late, and pops down a rabbit hole. Alice follows the White Rabbit down the hole and comes upon a great hallway lined with doors and there starts the journey of curiosity, chasing something unexplored and reaching to an incomprehensible place

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books of all time. I loved it as a child, I found it weird, strange eccentric and just like me!! A world which I absolutely loved and desired to be a part of

As I grew up, its not just a story of some fantasy land but great exploration of a philosophical journey and one of the most revered philosophical explorative work of literature if I may say so. The illogical , strange wonderland of Lewis Caroll is  perhaps  the landscape of our unconsioucs mind, and we are exploring the various aspects of our psyche.

My connection with this book also says a lot about my quest to go to some faraway land.. the neverland where everything is different, beautiful, awestruck and wonderstruck..

Or may be just a place to go away from the status quo , from the structured way of being, towing the line, following the path, experiencing the defined emotions .. a place farway from all of this .. may be its my neverland

PS : my New tattoo signifies my flight to this neverland..

Poem - The Dreamer's Perch

She perched atop her pillow throne, In quiet worlds all her own, An awkward kid with tangled hair, softly staring, lost somewhere....
